Mud Finder is a free mobile app that assists thousands of riders all over the US find places to ride off-road. By default, it shows you all the places within a 500-mile radius of where you are standing. It also lets you search by state or even by features of the location like vehicle size and type, whether you can camp overnight, etc.
The Mud Finder app also offers other functions as well, like a list of services all over the US that are around riding locations. Places to get gas, food, parts, repairs and the like. If you choose a location, you can even specifically find the services that are around the location you are looking at.
Some might say the issue is, you seldomly have cell signal in these areas so it can be impossible to use the lists in those areas. All you have to do is, before you go, download each of the locations and/or services before you go, and they will be available even if you have no cell signal.
Mud Finder recently added a section for off-road events. We have tested out the functionality and it seems to be working quite well. Some events have gotten well over 20,000 views from all over the US. You can search events by location or many other attributes of the event its self. There are many events all around the country, all year long. Mud Finder makes it easy to find them and plan your next adventure.
One area that is be tested right now is the “Rides.” This allows any user to create and share a ride with anyone else that wants to join in. Provide the when and where type details and others can join in. You can even provide comments and the like.
The team at Mud Finder is working hard to add functionality that will help off-road riding enthusiasts all over the country, and soon the world, have a fun and safe experience and continue to be able to enjoy the sport.
Mud Finder also has features like:
- Ability to work offline for locations, check-ins, reviews, etc.
- It also provides the same ability around services. Add your favorite gas station, grocery, camping spot, fast food or any other service so people can find them when they are in the area.
- Mud Finder has a new listing for off-road events. Now you can browse off-road events from all over the US. You can view ones that are within 500-miles of you or you can view by state. You can even search based on criteria like state, date, onsite camping, etc.
- Classified Ads are now part of the Mud Finder. At current we have businesses that are populating special deals and the like. These only show for their area so these are places that you can get to. Soon we will also have private sale items as well centered around off-road gear and rides.
Wanted:
While we have many other features that are coming, we have one in particular that we need some volunteers for. We want to build a section where riding groups can post upcoming rides that are available for either their own group or open to the public to come join the fun.
We are looking for group leaders that would be interested in being some of the first to create their groups and post about upcoming rides.
